Conventional Horizontally-Parted, Semi-Permanent Mold Turntables
Similar to the automotive style turntable system, which lends itself to head production, these horizontally parted machines are simplified and flexible enough to run the gambit of parts that are typical to most production foundries. The 'tilt back after pouring motion' can be included with these machines if desired. Water cooling and thermocouple controls can also be tailored to the customer's specific requirements. These turntable systems are available in our standard 8-station model, with custom accommodations made upon request. Although simpler in design to our automotive series of turntable systems, the same effort in design capabilities, reliability, and maintainability have been incorporated. Standard features include:
- 8-position turntable with positive locator shot pin
- 8 modular benches, accurately located and leveled
- Tooling size to 44" wide x 29.50" deep x 24-3/8" high
- Electric turntable drive system
- Loose piece controls
- Central distribution union, with all utilities
- 30 diameter, modular turntable construction, no pits required
- Controlled water cooling
The typical mechanical dry cycle time for the 8 station turntable is 36 seconds per station. For a typical solidification, depending on the customer's particular tooling package, the expected production rate for the 8 station turntable can be 96 castings/hour.
Ancillary equipment to complete a total turn key package is also available. This includes such items as furnace, pouring/ladling gantry, core setting, extraction, degating/debutting, take away conveyors, platforms and installation.
