SPOmatic Molding Machines have long been recognized for their rugged construction, reliable operation and high productivity. EMI developed a custom molding machine utilizing a special jolt unit for low volume applications that can provide both a conventional jolt and a shockless up-rap. The shockless up-rap initially moves sand to fill pockets in the pattern and along the flask walls. The conventional jolt then creates a superior mold hardness at the parting line. The shockless up-rap, in conjunction with the overhead hydraulic high pressure squeeze, produces a uniform mold hardness throughout the mold. The mold is drawn using a separate overhead guided mechanism that is out of the sand and easy to access.
The 180 JRS SPOmatic Molding Machine shown is designed to operate with an internal flask size of 44" x 56" x 22"/22"
